Navjeevan, started as a home for the street children in Kolkata ,an initiative of the Kolkata province of the Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod  copy writing all aspects of a girl child.The activities range from: taking girls into the caring hands of Navjeevan, preparing them to be able to join mainstream education system, making young girls self-reliant by teaching them life skills and healthcare for women and children in the slums.
